Best exfoliator for any skin – How to Exfoliate your face?
Makeup companies leave no stone
unturned to make sure you apply their products and shine significantly. But
only makeup is of no use if you still have dead skill underneath those creams
and powders. That is where exfoliation comes into consideration. We will advise
you the best exfoliators which
dermatologists have been suggesting.
Exfoliation is a process to
remove dead skin cells from your skin. It is of two types: Physical and
Chemical. Physical Exfoliation includes application of tools such as
brush, sponge or towel or use scrubs, gels on the skin. Whereas in chemical
exfoliation substances such as alpha hydroxyl acids (AHAs), beta hydroxyl acids
(BHAs) are used to remove dead skin.
If
you have sensitive skin:
· Take a small cotton cloth and soak it in warm water.
Place it on your face for 1-2 minutes and tap slowly.
· Put the cleanser on cloth and rub it on the surface of
the cloth.
· Now rub the soapy side on your face in the
anticlockwise direction. Don’t scrub hard on your face. Else it may cause
irritation.
· Rinse your face with lukewarm water, dry it with a
soft cloth and apply moisturizer.
If
you have normal skin:
· Apply mild scrub on your skin gently. You can also invest in a skin
care brush which will make exfoliation process better.
· You can also use chemical exfoliators such as glycolic
mask instead of a scrub.
· Now rinse your face with warm water.
· Use moisturizer to avoid dryness.
If
you have oily skin:
Because of oily skin, you need
to scrub 3-4 times a week.
You can use products that
contain alpha or beta acids, salicylic acid or glycolic acid.
Don’t skip moisturizer
considering your skin oily, it is important to use a little moisturizer.
Always
remember:
1. Don’t over exfoliate.
3. Always use moisturizer after scrubbing, otherwise,
